Have taken on freelance website design projects for various clients, including the American Legion and members of the Virginia House of Delegates, as well as brochures and various graphics as needed. Links to websites, as well as other work can be found in the portfolio section of this site.

Signs Now, Richmond, VA – Graphic Designer and Production Specialist
Designing a variety of digital graphics for indoor and outdoor signage, as well as vehicle graphics packages. Duties include, customer consultation, design, and production using large format 720 dpi digital inkjet printer, 50” vinyl cutter and 64” laminator. Vehicle graphics packages range from vinyl graphics, window perforation, partial and full vehicle wraps with responsibilities including design, production and installation.

9/98 – 10/07      
Capital One Financial Corporation, Richmond, Virginia – Senior Designer
Served as senior designer in the Human Resources Communications group.   Assigned, supervised and reviewed the design work of a staff of creative contractors.  Applied brand standards to a variety of communications, including Annual Reports, White Papers, HTML e-mails and various associate communications both in print and online. Used CMS to publish articles to the corporate My One Place portal. Determined best production methods for deliverables, working closely with a variety of production vendors. Developed the design team’s online project request and tracking tool. Helped develop the department’s style guide, implementing a suite of self-service templates, including developing and facilitating training to over 65 associates.  Nominated for 3rd Quarter 2005 Circle of Excellence award as part of the Building Change Capability Team. Received special recognition award in December, 2005, for work in creating and supporting the HR Brand Standards.

Virginia House of Delegates, Richmond, Virginia - Graphic Designer
Development and maintenance of Internet and Intranet websites. Performed design and layout of various printed graphics products and assisted in maintenance and user support of PCs and Macintosh computers. Supported staff of over 100 including varied and changing political appointees and elected officials.

Assisted Personnel Officer in the operation of the Ship’s Office. Received a Top Secret security clearance. Awards included a Commanding Officer’s Commendation; Submarine Force Commendation; Good Conduct Award.
